UV Sterilization

Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation - UVGI
- is a common tool in laboratories and health care facilities, and has been used in sensitive sterile environments for over 60 years. It is well known and tested, documented, and proven the work effectively on all known virus and bacteria, with an astonishing kill rate of 99.9% in most cases.

Britannica
Volume 12, page 118
UltraViolet Radiation...because of
its bactericidal capabilities at
wavelengths of 260-280nm, UV
is useful as both a research tool
and a sterilizing technique.

The World Book Encyclopedia
1997 Edition Volume 20, page 17
Ultraviolet rays with wavelengths shorter than 300 nm are effective in killing bacteria and viruses.
Hospitals use germicidal lamps that produce these short rays to sterilize surgical instruments,
water, and the air in operating rooms...

UV
Light disinfection does not use chemicals. Microorganisms including bacteria, viruses and algae are inactivated within seconds of exposure. It is effective against SARS, MRSA, Swine Flu, Bird Flu,Tuberculosis and all airborne viruses.
